This piece is for a contest I took part in for the Amazon Prime Original Series, “As We See It”. The show is about three adults on the Autism Spectrum, Jack, Violet, and Harrison, as they work through certain situations that they face in everyday life. Being that I am on the Autism Spectrum, I felt a connection to these characters and their struggles. The contest itself was done to see other people’s perspective of these situations and how they go about handling them. For my piece, I went from the angle of attempting to communicate with others, but struggling because I can’t find the exact words to say, which is a problem I face almost daily. I equated this struggle to that of a word search, as in both scenarios, it is hard to find the right words to say.
